InformixTechDay in Strasbourg

We are very pleased to announce the first pan-European InformixTechDay!

This is going to be a one-day technical training event. Classes will have both beginner level and more advanced levels. Speakers will cover theory (database theory, architecture) and real field experience.

Informix is a family of relational database management system (RDBMS) products by IBM . IBM acquired the Informix technology in 2001 from Informix Software. Californian mark appeared with the operating system UNIX, a system born in opposition to the supremacy of IBM in the 70s. Up to the middle of 1990s, database Informix was the most formidable rival of database Oracle . Informix is also a network of business partners effective, just like that of Lotus , another company acquired by IBM

We hope to have French, English and German speakers and hope to have 3 tracks (one in each language).
Sponsors are IIUG , GreenIvory , the University of Strasbourg and IBM. The university already committed to sending students (4th and 5th year of IT engineering, college is 5 years in France).
